SERIES 2: KC 4 CLE 1

Game 1: Plesac vs Samardzija

KC greeted rookie starter Plesac 6 runs in just over 2 IP. KC scored 2 in the 1st then brought 13 men to the plate in the 3rd scoring 8 runs. Yaz hit a 2 run HR and singled in 2 more. The Royals coasted from there winning 10-4.

Game 2: Freeland vs Miley

This battle of LHP saw KC jump out to a 3-0 lead in the 1st thanks to Bogaerts' 2 run HR. Piscotty singled home 2 in the 6th to close to 3-2 but a O'hearn PH 3b and Biggio 2B netted 2 more for KC in the 8th and Pearce's 2 run HR in the 9th sealed the deal. KC won 8-2.

Game 3: Gausman vs Hellickson

Despite a 3 run 4th for KC, CLE won 5-3 thanks to a 4 run 7th highlighted by a C.Taylor 3B and Segura HR.

Game 4: Marquez vs Lynn

O'Hearn HR and G.Garcia single scored 2 in the 2nd and a bases loaded error by Gurriel and a walk to Bogaerts netted 2 more in the 4th.KC and Lynn were coasting until the 6th when back to back 2B by McCann & LeMahieu made the score 4-1. Kimbrel came into the 9th looking for his 3rd save of the year but a Guerriel HR and Donaldson 2 base error ruined that and Sadler had to come in to save the 4-3 KC win.

Game 5: deGrom vs Arrieta

HR by Bogaerts, A.Garcia & Pearce highlighted the 9-1 KC win. Arrieta didn't allow a run in 6 2/3 IP.
