Game 1 Gibson v Porcello
Yankees jump out to a 2-0 lead via a Moreland homer in the second. Tigers tie it on back-back shots by Dejong and Santana in the third. Moreland drives in another run in the fourth and Lindor adds a much needed insurance run with a solo shot in the 8th. Hays pitch-hits to lead off the 9th and sends one out, however, the Tigers come up short 4-3.

Game 2 Corbin v Cahill
Yankees strike first in the first inning, while the Tigers get 3 in the bottom of the frame. Albeit, that is all the Tigers could muster as the Yankees add 6 more runs, paced by a Lindor 3-run blast in the 5th.

Game 3, Hamels v Syndergaard
Yankees strike first with solo shot by Hiura in the second, while the Tigers answer with a 2 run blast by Yelich in the bottom of the same inning. Yankees then bat around in the 5th with Lindor again adding a 3 run shot to the mix, on their way to a 9-3 rout of the Tigers.

Game 4, Pineda v Yamamoto
Again the Yankees offense comes alive in the firth inning as Hiura leads off with a homer and, thanks to 2 fielding miscues by Santana the Yankees pile on 4 runs. Yankees win 5-1.

Game 5, Cashner v Williams
This time it is all Tigers offense as they rack up a 7-1 win with the help of homers by Dejong, Aguilar, and Kendrick.
