SERIES 1: LAD 4 PHI 1
G1 Gray (L) vs Berrios (W)
This was a good old fashion pitcher's duel or just 2 bad offensive teams. Dodgers win 1-0 behind hometown hero Anthony Rizzo solo HR.
G2 Bumgarner (L) vs Clevinger (nd), Yarbrough (W)
Clevinger pulled a groin on a 2-1 roll running out a popup, disrupting his dominance. Yarbrough comes in and continues to shutdown the Phils but the coach Tommy Pasta fell asleep in the 9th as Yarbrough was struggling giving up 4 runs to make this interesting for the few fans that stayed after the rain delay. Dodgers hold on to a 6-5 win.
INJ-Clevinger - ROSHRS - PHI Grichuk, Smoak (ph 2-run HR)LAD = Torres (2)
G3 Paddock (L) vs Snell (W)
Another pitcher's duel. The crafty, lefty (show me the money) $nell led the Dodgers to the win limiting the Phils to 4 hits over 7 innings.
HR LAD Puig
G4 Archer, Pagan (W) vs Wheeler, Jimenez (L)
The Phils strike early with 4 runs in the first inning. Wheeler was struggling to keep the wheels on the bus but he held on to pitch 7 innings, which allowed his mates to battle back to tie it in the bottom of the 8th on a Chapman solo HR. Neither team scored in the 9th but in the 10th the Phils struck lightning in a bottle off of young Jimenez beating him like a pinata and a 8-4 win.
INJ LAD Marte - ROS, PHI Archer - ROS
HRs - PHI Sano and Grichuk (back to back in 10th)LAD - Chapman
G5 Tanaka (L) vs Morton (W)
Morton dominated the Phils scattering 3 hits and 4 walks over 7 innings. The Dodgers broke open a close game in the 6th with a 3-run HR by Avsail Garcia. Dodgers win 6-1.
HRs - PHI - BenintendiLAD - Torres, A. Garcia
