SERIES 1: BAL 3 KC 2

The 2 last place teams got together to open the 2020 season.

Game 1: Scherzer vs Arrieta

The Orioles jump out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the 3rd on a Goldschmit 2 run single and a Gurriel gbc rbi. A Yastrzemski HR closed the gap to 3-1 in the 5th and a Bogaerts SF in the 6th made it 3-2 but KC was unable to score another run in the 3-2 BAL win.​

Moncada injured for 2 games

Game 2: Strasburg vs Samardzija

Goldschmidt hit 3 HR and that held up as BAL won 6-4.​

Game 3: Leake vs Miley

The rookie phenoms, Biggio & Yastrzemski, each hit 2 run HR and KC won 5-2.​

Cain injuried for ROG.

WP: Miley, SV: Kimbrel, LP: Leake

Game 4: Lester vs Hellickson

Reyes hit a 2 run blast, Bogaerts added 3 hits including a HR and Pearce hit 2 2B and a HR, driving in 5 as KC jumped out to a big lead and barely survived a furious Oriole comeback including a Winker grand slam, winning 11-10.​

Goldschmidt injuried for 2 games.

Game 5: Godley vs Lynn

BAL scored 6 in the 5th enroute to an 8-5 win. A Winker 3 run HR and Adames 2 run HR highlighted the 6th inning scoring.​
